Join members with less than a year of experience as well as mentors and coaches with more than 50 years in Toastmasters.  This community club is open to all.  There are engineers, salesmen, accountants and others.  It's truly an international club with members from Japan, India and China as well as just ordinary folks from the Minneapolis area.

In 1954 Dan Patch Toastmasters #1280 was formed in Richfield, Minnesota, a first ring suburb of Minneapolis.  The club has been successful for over 50 years because of its continuing appeal to a broad range of men and women.

Join us any Wednesday at 6:15PM at Fred Babcock VFW Post just south of 66th and Lyndale in Richfield.  We share a common desire to speak better--in a supportive environment--and have fun doing it! 

Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization which gives its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Toastmasters can help you do it better. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason you are—to become better communicators.

At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once each week. Our meetings give everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.

Meetings are held every Wednesday evening beginning at 6:15 pm. While members are not required to attend every meeting, we realize that we can improve our communication skills by frequent attendence and working with the Toastmasters program. Please try to arrive by 6:00pm if ordering a meal.
